Saw him in concert last night and was thoroughly entertained. What an incredible artist. I love that his music is different than much I hear on the radio- it’s interesting and new and fresh. Thank you Toby Mac! What a production? !!!

Where’s Toby? Love him - saw him last year in Pensacola and seeing him again in Tampa. Only two songs I like are The Elements, Everything and I Just Need You. Music missing something .... God?
  • YES.

It feels like forever since Toby released something new, and this album is a masterpiece. I'm so happy that him along with Tori Kelly, Lauren Daigle, and so many other artists are making Christianity more commercial. 💝

  • Not a normal Toby album

It took me a week or so to really love this album. I was expecting the Portable Sounds or Tonight TobyMac. The Elements is a different direction. It’s a more focused album. The high energy songs aren’t there. The fastest pace is at most a Speak Life or Forgiveness song pace. But this is probably my favorite or 2nd fav Toby release. You can’t expect him to make the same record over and over. The dude is over 50, he’s slowing changing his sound. I like it. I like the entire album but It’s You, Horizon & New Day are my stand outs.
  • A Unique and Powerful Album

This is by far the most interesting album Toby has created! Most Christian artists use very cliché lyrics, typically focusing on ONLY praising God. But Toby is different, he sings about the struggles we go through each day, and how we can overcome them ourselves and with God’s help. Each song in this album is interesting, deep, and relevant to today’s issues! It also caters towards the younger generation, helping them to be more excited of spirituality. Well done Toby Mac!
  • As for me,

I agree with the people who say this doesn’t sound like his older albums but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. As we grow in our faith we experience different and more challenging things and we ourselves change because of them. From what I can tell, most Christian artist write about what they’re going through at the time of the creation of their songs and they typically write what’s put on their hearts rather than what they think will win awards and please the masses. I can’t speak for Toby but I’ve always felt that his songs had a deeper meaning than we as an audience understand and while many think he’s simply lost his touch in this album I personally believe the heart behind the music hasn’t changed. Every one of his albums has been different from the last. Sure most of them had a song or two that was a familiar style to his usual stuff but I feel like that’s what makes this one so special. I guess what I’m getting at is as he changes his music is bound to as well. Try not to be too harsh if they’re not speaking to you on a personal level because maybe God was trying to reach someone else with this one. I loves Scars and Hello Future and hope you give this album a listen with an open heart and an open mind. God bless.
